The Impex Smart Fry DS45 Air Fryer is a compact 4.5-litre digital air fryer designed for convenient everyday cooking with little or reduced oil. Powered by a 1200W heating system, it uses rapid hot-air circulation to cook food from multiple directions while giving users adjustable temperature control from 60°C to 200°C. A digital touch panel, transparent viewing window and removable non-stick basket make it convenient for routine meals, snacks and small-family portions. Customers comparing other models can browse Nikshan Electronics’ Impex appliance collection or explore other air fryer options.
Impex Smart Fry DS45 Air Fryer
The DS45 combines a 4.5-litre cooking capacity with 1200W power, making it well suited to smaller households and everyday food portions.
The basket provides enough room for common preparations such as potato fries, vegetables, chicken pieces, snacks and baked items without requiring the footprint of a large air-fryer oven.
Impex describes the model as suitable for air frying, baking, grilling and roasting.
Nikshan’s current listing also positions it as a multi-function digital fryer for routine household cooking.
Customers who want a larger-capacity Impex model can compare the Smart Fry DS65 through Nikshan’s wider Impex range.
Rapid Hot Air Cooking
Impex officially describes the DS45 with Rapid Hot Air Technology, while Nikshan uses the term Cyclonic Airflow Technology for the same retail model.
The basic operating principle is circulating heated air around the food inside the basket.
This allows many foods to develop browning and crispness using less added oil than traditional deep frying.
Impex markets the DS45 around up to 80% less oil, but actual oil reduction depends on the food, recipe and comparison cooking method.
For accurate marketing, it is better to say “designed for cooking with little or reduced oil” rather than implying that every meal is automatically healthier.
Smart Touch Control and Digital Display
The DS45 uses a smart touch-control panel and digital display.
These controls make it easy to adjust cooking temperature and time without relying on mechanical knobs.
The interface supports temperature adjustment between 60°C and 200°C, providing flexibility for different recipes.
A 60-minute timer with automatic shut-off allows users to set a cooking duration and have the appliance stop automatically at the end of the selected time.
The digital display also makes the active settings easier to monitor during cooking.
Transparent Viewing Window
One especially useful feature confirmed by Impex is the transparent viewing window.
It allows users to visually check food during cooking without repeatedly opening the basket.
Reducing unnecessary basket opening can help maintain chamber temperature and makes it easier to monitor browning.
The viewing window should still be cleaned regularly because cooking vapour and grease can reduce visibility over time.
Non-Stick Cooking Basket
The DS45 uses a removable non-stick cooking basket designed for easier food release and cleaning.
A non-stick surface can reduce food adhesion when preparing items such as fries, vegetables and coated snacks.
Users should avoid sharp metal utensils that may scratch or damage the coating.
Allowing the basket to cool before cleaning and using a soft sponge can help preserve the non-stick surface.
Nikshan’s wider air-fryer selection also includes larger and differently configured models for customers comparing capacity and features.
Fry, Bake, Grill and Roast
The official Impex store lists the DS45 for Air Fry, Bake, Grill and Roast cooking.
This versatility allows one appliance to handle a broad range of everyday recipes.
Air frying is useful for crisp snacks and vegetables, while baking can be used for selected cakes and baked dishes within the basket’s size limitations.
Grilling and roasting modes are useful for suitable vegetables and meat preparations.
The supplied “Steam” function should not be included because it is not confirmed by Impex’s official current specification.
Adjustable 60–200°C Temperature
A wide 60°C to 200°C temperature range provides flexibility for low-temperature reheating or defrost-style use as well as higher-temperature roasting and air frying.
Actual recipe settings depend on food quantity, thickness and whether ingredients are fresh or frozen.
Users may need to turn or shake certain foods partway through cooking for more even browning.
Safety Features
Impex confirms overheat protection and automatic shut-off on the DS45.
Overheat protection helps safeguard the appliance if abnormal temperatures are detected, while timer-based shut-off stops heating at the end of the selected cooking cycle.
The appliance should still be placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface with sufficient ventilation around the air outlets.
Vent openings should never be covered during operation.
Compact 4.5L Kitchen Design
Nikshan lists dimensions of approximately 28.5D × 23.5W × 30H cm, giving the DS45 a relatively compact countertop footprint for its 4.5L capacity.
The housing uses PP plastic with a black exterior, matching contemporary kitchen appliances.
The compact format makes it practical for kitchens where countertop area is limited.
