The Electrolux EWF1142R7SB Washing Machine is a premium 11 kg UltimateCare 700 front-load washer designed for larger households that want intelligent stain sensing, fabric care and connected convenience. Electrolux combines SensorWash with AI, UltraMix detergent activation, HygienicCare vapour, EcoInverter motor technology, Wi-Fi connectivity and a Woolmark-approved cycle in one large-capacity platform. It also offers a maximum 1400 rpm spin speed and flexible programs such as Quick 15, Daily 39 and Full Wash 60. Customers comparing other models can browse Nikshan Electronics’ washing machine collection or the dedicated front-load washing machine range.
Electrolux EWF1142R7SB Washing Machine
The 11 kg capacity makes this model particularly useful for larger families and households that regularly wash bulky laundry.
Electrolux itself positions the EWF1142R7SB for large families, and the 68.5-litre drum provides room for everyday garments as well as larger loads such as bedding, towels and household fabrics.
The machine is fully automatic and front loading, with a left-hinged door and freestanding installation.
Customers comparing capacities can also browse Nikshan’s broader washing machine category before deciding between front-load, top-load and washer-dryer formats.
SensorWash with AI
One of the strongest features is SensorWash with AI.
Electrolux states that the system uses sensors to detect dirt and soil levels and automatically adjusts cycle duration. Under its specified test conditions, the technology is marketed as capable of removing 49 different visible stains, including common food and household stains.
This reduces the need to manually guess wash duration for every load.
Results still vary according to fabric type, detergent, stain age, load size and water pressure, so the stain-removal figure should be treated as a tested performance claim rather than an absolute guarantee.
UltraMix Detergent Technology
The EWF1142R7SB incorporates UltraMix Technology, which dissolves and activates detergent and softener before they enter the drum.
Electrolux positions this system around reducing visible detergent residue on clothing at the end of the wash cycle.
Pre-dissolving detergent can be particularly useful when using powder detergent or washing coloured garments where undissolved residue may otherwise be noticeable.
Actual results depend on detergent dosage, detergent type, water pressure and load size.
HygienicCare Vapour
Electrolux’s HygienicCare option finishes the wash with a gentle vapour stage at approximately 40°C.
Under Electrolux test conditions, HygienicCare is stated to remove up to 99.9% of selected germs and reduce tested allergens while remaining gentler than higher-temperature steam treatments.
This feature can be useful for bedding, towels, baby garments and everyday laundry where customers want an added hygiene step.
It should be described as a tested hygiene feature rather than as a medical sterilisation system.
EcoInverter Motor
The washer uses an EcoInverter motor.
Electrolux states that its inverter design reduces vibration and can use up to 50% less energy than the referenced traditional Electrolux comparison model, while also supporting quieter and more reliable operation. The motor is guaranteed for 10 years.
Inverter motor technology varies motor speed according to operating requirements instead of relying on a fixed-speed system.
This can improve efficiency and provide smoother operation across different wash phases.
Wi-Fi Connectivity and Electrolux Life App
Official specifications confirm Wi-Fi connectivity for this model.
The Electrolux Life app provides connected features and access to the Care Advisor, which Electrolux describes as offering garment-care guidance across multiple fabric types.
Connected operation can make it easier to access programme guidance and manage compatible functions from a smartphone.
Availability of individual app functions may depend on software version, network configuration and regional service support.
Woolmark-Approved Fabric Care
The EWF1142R7SB includes a Woolmark-approved wash programme.
This gentle cycle uses controlled temperatures and reduced mechanical action to care for machine-washable wool garments according to care-label instructions.
This gives users a dedicated option for selected delicate woollens rather than relying only on a standard mixed-fabric cycle.
Garment labels should always be followed, particularly for wool items marked hand-wash-only or dry-clean-only.
Quick 15, Daily 39 and Full Wash 60
Electrolux provides several time-oriented wash options.
Quick 15 is designed for small or lightly soiled loads, Daily 39 targets routine daily laundry, and Full Wash 60 provides a one-hour programme for a regular full load.
These options provide greater flexibility when users do not need a long intensive wash.
The washer also includes programmes for cottons, bedding, sportswear, baby care, towels, outdoor garments, workwear, mixed fabrics, curtains, soft toys and more.
WeightSensor and LoadSensor
The machine includes both WeightSensor and LoadSensor functions.
These sensors help the washer assess the laundry load and optimise operation accordingly.
Front-load machines can adjust water and washing behaviour based on load conditions, which can reduce unnecessary resource use compared with simply running every cycle as though the drum were full.
Actual water and electricity consumption still varies according to programme, load and temperature selection.
1400 RPM Maximum Spin Speed
The official maximum spin speed is 1400 rpm, with the technical manual listing a minimum selectable spin speed of 400 rpm on relevant programmes.
Higher spin speeds remove more water from clothing before the cycle ends, helping reduce residual moisture.
Delicate fabrics may use lower spin speeds to reduce mechanical stress.
Premium Onyx Dark Silver Design
The machine uses an Onyx Dark Silver finish with touch controls and a physical selector knob.
Electrolux lists a metal-and-plastic construction, 600 mm width, 636 mm depth and 850 mm height. Maximum overall depth is 659 mm.
Net weight is 75 kg, so installation should be performed on a firm, level floor with transit bolts removed according to the manual.
Adequate rear space should also be allowed for inlet and drain connections.
