The Godrej Eon Velvet Classic 7 Kg Washing Machine is a fully automatic top-load washer designed for everyday family laundry with a strong focus on fabric care, low-water-pressure operation and convenient automatic features. Its 7 kg capacity is suitable for many average-sized households, while the 5-star BEE energy rating helps reduce electricity consumption compared with less efficient models. Godrej also equips this machine with a FabriSafe™ Drum, Turbo 6 Pulsator, eight wash programmes and 26 customisable wash settings. Godrej Eon Velvet Classic 7 Kg Washing Machine
The 7 kg capacity makes this model a practical option for routine household laundry such as daily clothes, shirts, trousers, towels and similar washable fabrics.
Godrej provides eight main wash programmes and 26 customisable programme combinations, allowing the user to tailor washing according to fabric load and cleaning requirements.
The Advanced LED Digital Display shows useful cycle information, while multiple water levels allow the machine to adapt water usage to different laundry loads.
For customers comparing capacities, Nikshan Electronics also maintains a broad range of fully automatic washing machines.
FabriSafe™ Drum for Fabric Care
A key feature of the Eon Velvet Classic is Godrej’s FabriSafe™ Drum.
Godrej states that the drum uses multiple coin-sized grooves designed to reduce friction during the scrubbing action while still supporting effective washing.
This design is intended to provide a balance between cleaning action and fabric care during regular wash cycles.
As with any washing machine, delicate garments should still be washed according to their care labels and with an appropriate programme.
Turbo 6 Pulsator
The washer incorporates a Turbo 6 Pulsator with six ridges.
Godrej describes the pulsator as creating stronger water turbulence, helping detergent penetrate fabrics and assisting dirt removal.
Pulsator-driven washing is well suited to top-load machines because it circulates water and clothes through the wash solution without requiring a central agitator column.
The actual cleaning result will still depend on detergent dose, load size, water quality and selected wash programme.
Zero Pressure Technology
The Eon Velvet Classic is especially useful in homes where inlet-water pressure can be inconsistent.
Godrej’s Zero Pressure Technology is designed to allow washing at inlet pressure as low as 0.02 MPa. Under Godrej’s specified test conditions, the system can fill the tub up to 60% faster than regular machines operating under similarly low-pressure conditions.
This feature can be particularly relevant in multi-storey homes or locations where municipal water pressure fluctuates.
Actual filling performance can vary according to plumbing and installation conditions.
In-Built Soak Technology
The machine includes In-Built Soak Technology, allowing clothes to be pre-soaked directly inside the washer rather than in a separate bucket.
During the soak stage, pulsator movement assists the soaking action and helps loosen dirt before the main wash.
This simplifies the washing process for garments that need additional pre-treatment.
Heavy stains may still require suitable stain treatment according to the garment manufacturer’s recommendations.
Hygiene Rinse and Super Dry
Godrej includes Hygiene Rinse, which adds an extra rinse intended to help remove residual detergent from clothes.
The Super Dry function adds an extra 4–6 minutes of spinning, reducing retained moisture in heavier fabrics such as denim.
This can be particularly useful during Kerala’s rainy season, although Super Dry is still a spin function and does not fully dry clothing like a heated tumble dryer.
Cloth Load Sensor and Detergent Indicator
The built-in Cloth Load Sensor displays the detected dry-clothes load on the digital panel, helping the user check whether the machine has been loaded appropriately.
The Intelligent Detergent Scoop Indicator then calculates and displays a recommended detergent quantity based on the clothes load.
Correct detergent dosing can help avoid excessive foam and detergent residue while supporting effective cleaning.
Users should still choose a detergent specifically intended for fully automatic top-load washing machines.
Magic Lint Filter
Godrej’s Magic Lint Filter is designed to capture lint, fluff and debris during washing.
Its anti-reverse-flow casing and placement allow it to collect lint even at lower selected water levels.
The filter should be removed and cleaned regularly according to the user manual so accumulated lint does not restrict performance.
Anti-Rust Cabinet and Toughened Glass Lid
The outer cabinet uses galvanized steel with anti-corrosive protection, while the top uses a curved tinted toughened-glass lid designed to resist normal scratches, heat and impact.
The rear-mounted control panel helps keep controls away from dripping wet clothes when laundry is removed.
A flip-lid detergent drawer is also provided for convenient detergent loading and cleaning.
Memory Backup and Child Lock
Memory Backup allows the washing machine to resume the wash programme automatically after power is restored following an interruption.
The machine also includes Child Lock, helping prevent accidental changes to control-panel settings during operation.
These features add everyday convenience without changing the basic fully automatic top-load workflow.
