The Impex Smart Fry DS65 Air Fryer is a spacious 6.5-litre digital air fryer designed for households that want convenient frying, baking, grilling and roasting with reduced dependence on deep frying. Its 1600W heating system and Rapid Hot Air Technology circulate heated air around food to help create browned and crisp surfaces while using little to no additional oil for many recipes. The generous capacity makes it practical for family portions, snacks, vegetables, chicken and other everyday dishes. Customers comparing different capacities can also browse Nikshan Electronics’ air fryer selection or explore the wider kitchen appliances collection.
Impex Smart Fry DS65 Air Fryer
The DS65 combines a 6.5-litre cooking capacity with 1600W power, giving it enough space for larger batches than compact 3L or 4L air fryers.
Impex specifically positions the model for family meals and entertaining guests.
A larger basket or cooking chamber can be useful when preparing fries, vegetables, chicken pieces or other foods that need space around them for effective air circulation.
For the most even results, users should avoid tightly overfilling the cooking area and should shake or turn food when appropriate for the recipe.
Nikshan’s current listing also confirms the exact DS65 BLACK in its 6.5-litre air-fryer range.
1600W Rapid Hot Air Technology
Impex officially highlights Rapid Hot Air Technology as the DS65’s main cooking system.
Rather than submerging food in a vessel of hot oil, an air fryer circulates heated air around the ingredients.
This makes it suitable for recipes where customers want a browned or crisp finish with less added oil than conventional deep frying.
The 1600W heating specification supports relatively quick heat generation for a 6.5-litre appliance.
Actual cooking time still varies depending on ingredient quantity, food thickness, starting temperature and selected settings.
Air Fry, Bake, Grill and Roast
The official Impex product page confirms multi-function cooking, specifically listing air frying, baking, grilling and roasting.
This versatility allows one appliance to handle several types of everyday recipes.
Air frying can be used for snacks and fries, roasting for vegetables or meat preparations, baking for suitable cakes and baked dishes, and grilling for ingredients that benefit from concentrated surface heating.
The supplied description also mentions reheating, which may be possible through normal time-and-temperature settings, but Impex does not list it as a separately named core mode on the current exact product page.
The claimed “12-in-1” count should therefore be used only if printed on the current carton or control panel.
Digital Air Fryer Interface
Impex currently categorises the DS65 as a 6.5L digital model, rather than an analogue model.
This is important because the supplied specification lists dual rotary knobs.
Impex sells separate analogue air fryers in its range, including another 6.5-litre model, so control style should not be transferred between variants.
For the DS65 product page, the safest wording is digital air fryer unless the specific Nikshan stock unit visibly uses rotary controls.
Black and Steel Finish
The DS65 combines a black and steel finish, providing a contemporary appearance suited to modern kitchen counters.
Impex uses this finish directly in the exact product title.
The official construction is listed as aluminium and plastic.
Because external surfaces and the cooking chamber use different materials, it is better to retain Impex’s stated material wording rather than describing the entire appliance as stainless steel.
The appliance should be allowed to cool before exterior cleaning, and abrasive cleaning tools should be avoided where they could scratch finished surfaces.
Removable Oil Filter Rack
Impex includes a removable oil filter rack with the DS65.
The removable design supports easier cleaning after cooking and can help separate food from drippings during suitable recipes.
Impex also supplies serving tongs and a user manual in the package.
Removable cooking components should be cleaned according to the manual, and the main electrical body should never be immersed in water.
The official page does not clearly identify the basket coating, so a “non-stick basket” claim should be verified from the physical product before publication.
4-Star Energy-Rating Positioning
Impex markets the DS65 with a 4-Star Energy Rating and energy-efficient design.
This is manufacturer retail positioning and can be retained in the product description.
However, it should not be confused with BEE star-labelling used for specific regulated appliance categories unless the air fryer carries an applicable BEE label on the carton.
The most precise wording is therefore “4-star energy-rating positioning as listed by Impex.”
Compact Family-Friendly Dimensions
Despite its relatively large 6.5-litre capacity, the DS65 measures approximately 29.8 cm wide, 38.2 cm deep and 31.4 cm high, with a listed weight of 5 kg.
These dimensions should be considered before placing it beneath cabinets or on shallow countertops.
Adequate clearance around ventilation openings should be maintained during use.
The unit operates on 230V / 50Hz AC, matching normal compatible Indian household electrical supply.
