The POLYGUARDS AA11032 Kitchen Scissors are practical multipurpose utility shears designed for kitchen preparation, household work, packaging, office tasks and general everyday cutting. Their sharp stainless-steel blades are combined with a lightweight 91 g body, durable rivet construction and an ergonomic Black & Red anti-slip handle for controlled operation. At approximately 8.1 inches long, the scissors provide a useful balance between cutting reach and easy handling, while the included protective blade guard supports safer storage when the tool is not in use. POLYGUARDS AA11032 Kitchen Scissors
The AA11032 is designed as a general-purpose cutting tool rather than a highly specialised pair of kitchen shears.
Nikshan currently lists it for kitchen, household, office, outdoor and general utility applications, making it suitable for users who want one compact pair of scissors for multiple everyday tasks.
Typical uses include opening food packets, trimming herbs, cutting lightweight vegetables, cutting paper and handling common household packaging.
For demanding materials such as bones, thick metal, wire or other hard items, a purpose-built heavy-duty cutter should be used instead.
Customers can also browse the complete POLYGUARDS collection at Nikshan to compare other utility-scissor designs and sizes.
Sharp Stainless Steel Blades
The AA11032 uses stainless-steel cutting blades, providing a durable cutting surface for routine household and kitchen applications.
Stainless steel offers useful resistance to normal corrosion when the blades are properly cleaned and dried after use.
The blades are intended for smooth, controlled cutting across everyday materials such as herbs, food packaging, paper and similar light-duty items.
To maintain cutting performance, users should avoid using the scissors on surfaces or materials that could nick or deform the cutting edges.
The blades should also be stored inside the supplied guard when practical.
Durable Rivet Construction
The two cutting blades are joined through a rivet-style pivot assembly.
This central joint allows the blades to move across each other during cutting while maintaining alignment.
A stable pivot is important for controlled cutting because excessive looseness can affect blade contact and cutting efficiency.
As with any manually operated scissors, users should periodically check the joint for unusual looseness, corrosion or damage.
The exact rivet alloy and service-adjustability are not specified, so those details should not be added as technical claims.
Ergonomic Anti-Slip Handle
A major practical feature is the Black & Red ergonomic anti-slip handle.
The shaped grip is designed to provide more secure control than a plain metal-loop handle, especially during repeated household or food-preparation tasks.
Nikshan also lists the grip as suitable for both left- and right-handed users, making the design ambidextrous.
Comfort can still vary according to hand size and cutting duration, but the lightweight construction helps keep the scissors easy to manoeuvre.
For users comparing additional everyday preparation tools, Nikshan’s Kitchen Tools collection provides related accessories.
Lightweight 91 g Design
At a listed weight of 91 g, the AA11032 is relatively lightweight for an approximately 8.1-inch multipurpose scissor.
The lower weight can make it comfortable for routine opening, snipping and trimming tasks without adding unnecessary bulk to a kitchen drawer or utility box.
Its compact dimensions also make it easier to store alongside knives, peelers, openers and other preparation accessories.
For safety, scissors should always be stored closed and kept away from children.
Protective Blade Guard
The product includes a protective plastic blade guard.
The guard covers the cutting edges during storage, helping reduce accidental contact with exposed blades and also protecting the edges from rubbing directly against other utensils.
This can be particularly useful when the scissors are carried inside a drawer, storage basket or travel utility kit.
The blade guard should only be fitted once the scissors are clean and dry to avoid trapping moisture against the metal.
Dishwasher-Safe Cleaning
Nikshan currently lists the AA11032 as dishwasher safe, which can simplify cleaning after kitchen use.
However, hand washing and immediate drying can still be beneficial for maintaining blade appearance and preserving the pivot area over prolonged use.
Food particles should not be allowed to remain around the rivet joint.
If dishwasher cleaning is used, the scissors should be positioned safely so that sharp edges cannot contact users while loading or unloading the appliance.
Multipurpose Everyday Utility
These scissors are suitable for more than just food preparation.
In a kitchen they can be used for opening sealed packets, trimming herbs and handling everyday packaging. Around the home or office they can also be used for paper, craft materials and general utility tasks.
The product should not be promoted as suitable for every possible material. Heavy bones, hard wire and industrial materials require cutters specifically designed for those tasks.
